Project description

The new European headquarters of customer science company, Dunnhumby, is a Grade II listed former motor factory and showroom. Kafften was appointed by Main Contractor McLaren to assist in the conversion of 184 Shepherds Bush Road.

Originally built around 1915, certain elements of the 117,000 sq ft listed building needed to be maintained. These included the front facade and the north east corner of the building formerly the ground floor showroom, first floor and sales office.

It was with great pride we worked alongside a fantastic team lead by the McLaren Group to restore this beautiful building. With our highly skilled in-house bricklayers and facade cleaning operators, using our historic methods and specialist systems preferred by a Architects, surveyors, conservation bodies and building and restoration companies, we have seen this historic building come back to life. This is a wonderful example of how history can blend seamlessly with a mix of modern features.
